Overview

Historic reconstruction of a 55,500-square-foot elementary school in Richmond, Virginia. Founded in 1911, the school was tragically destroyed by fire. The project represents a complete rebuild that honors the school's historic legacy while delivering a modern, efficient facility adapted for contemporary educational needs. Thompson Consulting Engineers provided full mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services.

Challenges

  • Providing efficient MEP systems while preserving the historic integrity and architectural character of the building.
