Cultural
Help bring museums, libraries, performing arts venues, and other cultural destinations to life.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
Design & Documentation
- Prepare electrical design drawings and specifications.
- Design lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, and low voltage systems.
- Perform calculations, code reviews, and system evaluations.
- Coordinate design work with architects, owners, and other engineering disciplines.
Project Support & Coordination
- Participate in project meetings and design coordination discussions.
- Support construction administration through submittal reviews, RFIs, and site observations.
- Collaborate with internal team members across multiple offices.
- Contribute to quality control reviews and technical problem solving.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Virginia or the ability to obtain Virginia licensure immediately.
- Eight or more years of experience designing building electrical systems.
- Experience working on K-12, municipal, commercial, office, retail, government, and similar building projects.
- Proficiency with the latest versions of AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication, organization, and critical thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP).
- Previous experience leading project teams and mentoring junior engineers.
- Construction administration and commissioning experience.
- Strong commitment to client service, technical quality, and continuous professional growth.
