Overview
The Williamsburg Landing Community Center is a 22,319-square-foot resident amenity and gathering facility developed as part of the Life Plan Community’s Anchor Cove expansion. Designed to strengthen social, cultural, and recreational opportunities for residents, the center is anchored by a state-of-the-art 300-seat performance theater and includes dedicated studio and multi-purpose spaces that support arts, music, educational programs, community events, and other resident activities. Thompson Consulting Engineers provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design, Construction Administration, and Commissioning services for the project, integrating building systems capable of supporting the specialized environmental, lighting, audiovisual, and occupancy requirements of performance and community spaces. The facility provides Williamsburg Landing with a flexible new destination for entertainment, creativity, and social engagement while supporting the continued growth and evolution of the residential community.
Challenges
