Overview

Swift Creek Middle School is served by a modernized HVAC system designed to improve ventilation, temperature control, energy efficiency, and operational reliability throughout the facility. The project replaced aging unit ventilators, chilled and condenser water pumps, and other major mechanical equipment with new variable air volume air handling systems, associated ductwork, and upgraded central HVAC infrastructure. Thompson Consulting Engineers provided mechanical design services, including modifications to the building automation system and coordination with supporting electrical and fire protection improvements. Construction was completed over two consecutive summer phases, allowing the extensive system upgrades to be implemented while minimizing disruption to school operations.
