Overview
Virginia Beach Fire Station No. 7 and Fire Administration Headquarters was developed as a modern public safety facility serving the City's Town Center district and surrounding service area. The approximately 28,000-square-foot facility consolidated fire station operations and administrative functions into a single location, providing improved operational efficiency while supporting the growing needs of Virginia Beach Fire Department personnel. The station includes apparatus bays, firefighter living quarters, training and support spaces, administrative offices, and Fire Administration headquarters. Thompson Consulting Engineers provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering services for the project. Building systems were designed to support the demanding requirements of a 24-hour emergency response facility while serving the needs of administrative staff and department leadership. The completed facility enhanced operational readiness, improved departmental coordination, and provided a resilient, efficient headquarters capable of supporting Virginia Beach Fire Department operations for years to come.
