Overview
Cosby High School is a 257,400-square-foot educational facility developed for Chesterfield County Public Schools to accommodate growth in the Midlothian community and provide a comprehensive learning environment for more than 2,000 students. The two-story academic wing is organized into four grade-level houses, creating smaller learning communities within the larger high school, while specialized programming includes the Health Science Specialty Center, which prepares students to explore education and careers in the healthcare industry. Thompson Consulting Engineers provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design, Construction Administration, and Commissioning services for the project. Integrated building systems support the school’s diverse academic, specialty, athletic, and performing arts environments while providing energy-efficient, reliable infrastructure for long-term operation.
