Overview

Virginia Beach Town Center I is a 935,000-square-foot mixed-use development that established a major anchor for the City of Virginia Beach’s emerging central business district. The project combines a 215,000-square-foot office tower, 130,000-square-foot hotel, 90,000 square feet of retail space, and a 500,000-square-foot parking structure within a high-density urban environment designed to bring business, hospitality, dining, and commercial activity together in one destination. Thompson Consulting Engineers provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design, Construction Administration, and Commissioning services, coordinating building systems across the development’s diverse occupancies and operational requirements. As one of the earliest phases of Town Center, the project continues to serve as a prominent component of the mixed-use district that transformed this area of Virginia Beach into a regional business and commercial destination.
